Jordan Spieth has opted to stay stateside for the weekend, returning to the tournament that launched his PGA Tour career. The 2015 John Deere Classic being held at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois holds a $4.7 million purse, with the winner earning a $846,000 share.
In addition to Spieth, Zach Johnson, Kevin Kisner and Robert Streb will all be in attendance this weekend.
What They're Saying
Jordan Spieth (via USA Today): "If I thought I wasn't going to play well next week because I played here, it would be a different story. I probably wouldn't be here. This is good preparation for me to get good feels, to get in contention and to find out what's on and what's off."
Zach Johnson: "[Spieth] stuck with his commitment, which is very honorable. At the same time, there has only been so many guys in so many years who've won the first two majors, and there's a lot of pressure on him. I applaud him."
Things are going so well for Jordan Spieth right now that he can catch a tuna and a shark at the same time. https://t.co/cFUPjQ6usU

Prediction
It's difficult to go against Spieth in any competition. He has 10 top 10 finishes this year and is inching closer to Rory McIlro'ys position of being golf's No. 1. It's a safe pick, but an understandable one.
