Graeme McDowell is looking to become the first player in 77 years to win the Alstom Open de France three years running this week. The event being held at Le Golf National in near Paris holds a €3 million purse, with the winner earning a €500,000 share.
In addition to McDowell Alex Levy, Victor Dubuisson and David Howell will all descend on France this Thursday.

Alex Levy (via European Tour): "It's great to be here. It's a great golf course, fantastic golf course and excellent tournament. It's an exciting week for the French players and it's going to be an amazing tournament for me. I've got a really good draw for the first two rounds playing with two great players [Lee Westwood and Graeme McDowell]."
Martin Kaymer (via European Tour): "The golf course looks good to me. It will be an exciting week I think. I know that I like that golf course; I know that I have been successful here before; I know I enjoy being in France. I enjoy the people, enjoy the food, so there is nothing wrong about this place. There's no reason why I shouldn't play well."
Prediction
Though McDowell has owned Le Golf National in recent years, winning the event for a third consecutive year is virtually impossible. Looking to supplant him, Lee Westwood returns to the course a favorite to lift the title near Paris. The 42-year-old has four top 25 finishes this season.
