Tiger Woods returns to the greens on Thursday, attempting to find his golf swing at the 2015 Greenbrier Classic. The event being held at The Old White TPC in White Sulphur Springs holds a $6.7 million purse, with the winner earning a $1.206 million share.
In addition to Woods, Bubba Watson, Paul Casey and Louis Oosthuizen will all be in attendance this weekend.
What They're Saying
Louis Oosthuizen (via Charleston Daily Mail): "I just couldn't get going [in 2013]. Once I hit a good shot, it was followed up by a poor one. I missed the fairway and things like that. The whole week I felt a little sort of lazy, tired. I feel the game is still there and I'm mentally still on that high note. I hope for a good week this week."
Lee Trevino: "Mr. Justice wanted me to play with he and Shaq in the Pro-Am and I refused. I can't reach the par 3s and I can't play the back tees. He said, 'No, you can go up to the front.' I said, 'No, I don't want to go up there [to the women's tees]. Some guy will say something to me about playing off the ladies' tees and I'm going to have to jump those ropes. We can avoid all that stuff, so I'm going to caddie. I'm going to find out what kind of tipper Shaq is."
Prediction
Webb Simpson has finished in the top 10 in three of the last four Greenbrier Classics. One of the most consistent players on the tour, Simpson will look to carry his momentum past White Sulphur Springs.
