Summer and Winter Olympian Lolo Jones has established herself as a social media guru, but her latest post still managed to raise some eyebrows.

Christianpost.com is reporting that the Olympic hurdler and bobsled push athlete announced on her Instagram account that she intends to embark on a three-week fasting to "get closer to God."

It was not clear whether Jones meant she intended to go without eating for three weeks. The 32-year-old did invite her Instagram followers to get in touch with their spiritual beliefs.

"I want all that God promised for me in 2015. 21 days of prayer and Fasting. Join me as I dedicate the first part of my year to hearing from God. I encourage you as well to set aside some earthly distraction for 21 days to hear more from the Lord. #socialMediaDetox #prayer #fasting #alreadyCravingaBurgeriRebukeYouSatan," her Instagram post read.

Jones has demonstrated her fearlessness, not only in talking about her Christian beliefs, but also in expressing her opinions on social media, no matter how blunt or how unpopular they might be.

"I don't know. I continue to try and be true on Twitter," she told USA TODAY Sports' For the Win. "I realize now that if something happens and one of my tweets goes crazy, that it always dies down. People always threaten, "we'll never forget," and then it always fades away. Honestly, I cringe when one of my tweets go viral. People think I'm doing it for attention, but I actually hate it. My sisters call me and say "Google hates you right now, don't check it for a while." But I do try to do a lot of charity events so I think about it this way: If I can take the heat for some tweets and it will benefit somebody at the end of the day, I'm all for it."

Jones also is promoting the State Games of America, the largest Olympic-style sports festival in the nation, encouraging eligible athletes across the nation to join her in the event.
