More than a year after Jonathan Martin walked away from a bully, he still is subject to criticism.
Martin, now an offensive tackle with the San Francisco 49ers, tweeted Thursday that he stopped a robbery at a Versace store.

He then tweeted a photo of what appears to be a man lying on the floor at the entrance of the Versace Collection.

Later, he described what happened to Yahoo! Sports' Shutdown Corner.
Shutdown Corner reported that Martin said he was shopping at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles with a friend Thursday afternoon when he noticed a shoplifting in progress at the Versace Collection boutique a few yards away from him.
One man, Martin said, fled the Versace Collection with three purses. He said he saw another man still inside the store in the process of stealing items, prompting Martin to respond.
Martin told Shutdown Corner "that he ran across the corridor into the store and helped the security guard in corralling the second alleged shoplifter, who was a man larger than the security guard. Martin said he punched the person 'five to eight times' until he went down. He wanted to do just enough to get the man to stop fighting so that he could be subdued by security."
"I didn't even think," Martin told Shutdown Corner via phone on Thursday night. "I just reacted. It wasn't till later when (my friend) said, 'He could have had a gun.' I didn't even think about it. I just wanted to help."
Martin left the Miami Dolphins in the middle of the 2013 season, accusing then-Dolphins guard Richie Incognito of bullying him. The reported damaged the reputations of both men. Incognito was suspended and heavily criticized for his behavior around Martin and did not play football in 2014.
Martin received criticism because some of the public found it hard to believe that a 6-foot-6, 300-pound man would be bullied - or would allow himself to be bullied. He played seven games for the Dolphins in 2013 before quitting the team.
A security guard at the mall refused comment to Shutdown Corner on Thursday, creating an opportunity for some tweets making fun of Martin, who still has naysayers, according to CBSSports.com.
So Jonathan Martin can stand up to robbers, but not teammates?

I refuse to believe Jonathan Martin physically stopped anyone from doing anything.
