The WWE presented the NXT Takeover event live from Full Sail University in Florida Thursday night, and one of the highlights saw Ric Flair's daughter Ashley "Charlotte" Flair win the NXT Women's Championship.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, word going around backstage is that the NXT special on the WWE Network was a homerun and a job well done by everyone involved.
Charlotte had her father in her corner as she defeated Natalya, who had WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart by her side, to become just the second NXT Women's Champion in history. The match was well received by many people backstage, with some calling it the best Divas match in a long time.

Charlotte tweeted out a photo featuring her and Natalya hugging after the match as Flair and Hart looked on:
She also dedicated the win to her brother Reid, who passed away in 2013 from a heroin overdose:
The Women's Title was the only belt to change hands Thursday night as Adrian Neville retained his NXT Championship against Tyson Kid and The Ascension successfully defended their NXT Tag Team Championships against El Local and Kalisto.
Elsewhere, Tyler Breeze defeated Sami Zayn to become the No. 1 contender for Neville's NXT Title and Adam Rose topped Camacho in a singles match to open the show.
