Android 7.0 Nougat Update for HTC One M8 Mistakenly Announce, Says T-Mobile

HTC have revealed that the Android N update will be made available for its 10 flagship, One M9 and One A9. A notable omission from that list was the HTC One M8, but that wasn't entirely surprising, since the device was already two years old by that point.

T-Mobile has rolled out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow to the M8 (One) about a year ago. Surprisingly the network provider announced on March 24, through its online support page that HTC One (M8) users can download the latest mobile operating system update from Android, as per the GizBot.

However, it undoubtedly came as quite a surprise when T-Mobile updated its US support site on Friday saying that its Android 7.0 update for the One M8 had "been approved to launch and is now available." After this HTC One (M8) Users are singing high praises not only for T-Mobile, but also for HTC for their efforts to bring this major update to a rather outdated phone.

While this appears to be an important move for T-Mobile and HTC, some M8 (One) owners have started to share on various social media platforms that the update is still out of stock. During that only a T-Mobile representative cleared the The Android Soul that the company has mistakenly updated the M8 (One) webpage to appear that the Android 7.0 Nougat update is on its way.

T-Mobile is expected to address the confusion soon. It might also get updated that the Nougat update will not be coming after all.

The HTC One (M8) smartphone features a 5.0-inch display with 1080 x 1920 resolutions. Device is powered by a Snapdragon 801 chipset with a quad-core processor and 2GB RAM. On its release, the phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, but it has been later on March 2016 updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
