Super Fight Between Manny Pacquaio and Amir Khan is On

It seems that former sparmates Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan is on a collision. The truth is this tussle has been negotiated a long time ago.

Just recently, the two fighters have affirmed their intentions to see each other inside the ring. Although Pacquiao's camp has also been considering Australian slugger Jeff Horn as the fighting senator's next opponent, the negotiations have appeared to lean towards Khan.

It has been earlier slated that Manny Pacquiao will head to Brisbane where a fistfight with Horn will happen in April. With a clash against the Freddie Roach's former ward already agreed upon, the fighter from Down Under may just have to look elsewhere or even wait to get a shot at a big-time slot.

On Twitter, the popular Philippine boxer has stated that terms had already been agreed. The Pacquiao-Khan bout is scheduled on April 23, 2017.

Khan, who has won a silver medal during the Athens Olympics as a lightweight, has confirmed Pacquiao's tweet on his own social media page. The British fighter has not fought since losing to Canelo Alvarez in a middleweight match last May.

During that clash, Amir Khan has suffered a knockdown in the sixth round. It is likely that he will go back to the welterweight class considering that the middleweight is just too heavy for him.

Meanwhile, Manny Pacquiao is coming off a victory over Jessie Vargas of the United States last November. The win has crowned the boxer from Saranggani with the WBO welterweight diadem.

During the past weeks, Australia has been ramping up a Pacquiao-Horn tussle. The bout is anticipated to be the biggest in Canberra's history. In fact, Queensland wants the fight to happen at the huge Suncorp Stadium.

Earlier this week, Horn has called on Manny Pacquiao to come to Brisbane. The Australian fighter has also stated that the money on the table is already guaranteed.

While the schedule for the Pacquiao-Khan bout has already been set, both sides are yet to agree on a venue. Possible locations include the UAE and the UK.

Amir Khan is currently being handled by trainer Virgil Hunter while Freddie Roach continues to handle Manny Pacquiao.
