Why Moto E3 Power Won't Receive Android 7.0 Nougat Update Anytime Soon

Android 7.0 Nougat update has already been rolled out by various tech giants into their smartphones. However, Motorola will not roll out Android 7.0 Nougat update to its newest released flagship Moto E3 Power as this phone was not seen in the list of smartphones from Motorola that will be receiving the update.

According to GSM Arena, Moto E3 Power Smartphone was recently released into the tech market i.e. its arrival was seen in the month of September last year. And based on its recent release, speculations were made earlier that Moto E3 Power flagship will get the Android 7.0 Nougat.

Motorola recent updates on its support page listed those devices that are to be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat update but was not seen to include E3 Power flagship. Therefore, users of Moto E3 Power needs to stick to the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS until Motorola has plans to update the phone to Android 7.0 Nougat update.

The other Motorola smartphones which have already receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update are the Moto Z, Moto M, Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus and Moto X Play. Sony and Samsung also started to roll-out Android 7.0 Nougat updates to their smartphones.

An overview on Moto E3 Power Smartphone

Moto E3 Power sports a 5-inch IPS HD display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the phone is powered by MediaTek's MT6735p quad-core processor clocked at 1GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM. There is also 16GB onboard storage that can be expanded using a microSD card.

The phone sports an 8MP rear camera with auto-focus, LED flash, HDR, Panorama, and tap-to-focus. The front camera holds a 5MP lens for video calling and selfies. Also, the phone is incorporated with a 3,500mAh battery with Turbo Charging feature and the battery last for the entire day and even 15 minutes of charging can offer battery life of up to five hours.
