Lenovo, the tech giant is expected to arrive with the second generation of its very famous Moto Z Smartphone-Moto Z (2017). The Smartphone is already being surfaced with many rumors and fresh reports of Lenovo filing a patent to use iris scanner in the second generation Moto Z clearly indicates that the phone will soon hit the tech market with amazing specifications and features.

According to Tech Droider, it is reported that the Lenovo is progressing towards the improved security in its upcoming Motorola smartphones. Lenovo's recently filed patent for the use of an iris scanner on the second generation of the Moto Z is an example of security improvements. The Iris Scanner system would rely on two narrow-angle lenses for capturing the individual eyes of the user.

The iris scanner will have the same purpose but it will go in a different way than the fingerprint scanner. This technology will allow the phone read unique characteristics of the user's iris to unlock the phone, verify identification and open apps.

Also, it shall be noted that the sketches in the patent indicate that the Moto Z (2017) will continue to sport a dedicated front-facing fingerprint button.

Moto Z (2017) will not be the first phone with the iris scanning technology; Samsung had also included this technology in its Galaxy Note 7 Smartphone. Also, few reports claim that Samsung will bring the same technology into its most awaited flagship Galaxy S8.

According to Phone Arena, Motorola Smartphone spotted online database GeekBench having a code name Motorola XT1650 showed that the phone will be embedded with Snapdragon 835 coupled with 4GB of RAM and the device is seen running on Android 7.1.1. The phone achieved a single-core score of 1930 and a respectable multi-core score of 6207. It is assumed that the phone on the database is Moto Z (2017).

However, it should not be considered that all the information is seen on the online database to be true, as some devices appear in the database after internal testing but never reach the market. Stay tuned for more updates.
