Today at 12:00 p.m. ET, the United States and Canadian women's ice hockey teams faceoff live from the Bolshoy Ice Dome in Sochi for the gold medal game as part of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games. The game can be live streamed for free here.

Canada is looking to win its second straight gold medal while the United States hits the ice with revenge on its mind as it looks to avenge a 2-0 loss at the Vancouver Games four years ago.

The defending gold medal winning Canadiens defeated the United States 3-2 in the preliminary round last week and will be looking to do it again on the grandest stage. The triumph extended the Canadian's Olympic winning streak to 19 games over three consecutive gold medal games.

Team USA has shown the ability to beat Canada in the past, most recently in the 2013 World Championships that saw the Americans notch a 3-2 victory over their Canadian rivals.

Canada will look to the veteran leadership of Hayley Wickenheiser, who has played in five Olympic Games and is 35-year-of-age. Wickenheiser lit the lamp and picked up an assist in Canada's preliminary win over the U.S. She'll be looking for her fourth gold medal, bringing a level of gold medal experience into the game.

USA forward Amanda Kessel will look to break out against Canada in the gold medal game after she was stymied in the preliminary game by only notching two shots on goal and reporting no points. Kessel leads the Americans with six points off of three tallies and three assists. Kessel was instrumental with a goal and an assist in the United States' last 6-1 victory over Sweden.

Canada looks for yet another gold medal while the United States searches for a win that has been four years in the making when the puck drops on the gold medal game at the Bolshoy Ice Dome in Sochi today as part of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
