Jason Kelce has shared his thoughts on the career of his brother, Travis, amid persistent rumors that the latter is considering retirement.
Travis has yet to make an official public decision as to whether or not he will return to the Kansas City Chiefs, as of press time.
"I think Travis—I think he probably, in his heart, already knows what he wants to do," Jason said on "The Steam Room" podcast.
"Sometimes I can overanalyze situations, and any big decision I'm having in my life I'll think about the negatives and what about this or that," he added. "My brother has this way of being like, 'Hey man, you want to play, or you don't want to play.'"
Travis Kelce Statistics
CBS Sports notes in its report that should Travis choose to return to the Chiefs, it will be his 14th season as a professional player.
While the previous season was less than stellar for the tight end, Kelce's overall numbers are very impressive to say the least.
Travis is the third tight end to achieve 12,000 receiving yards in his career. Should he decide to continue playing, he can catch up to Tony Gonzalez and Jason Witten. He is only 896 yards behind Witten and 2,977 yards behind Gonzalez.
He also comes third to both Gonzalez and Witten when it comes to receptions done by a tight end and comes fifth in terms of touchdowns receive by a tight end.
As far as the Kansas City Chiefs are concerned, Travis holds a number of the team's best records, which can be found here.
