Philadelphia 76ers legend Allen Iverson recently expressed his undying love for... the Dallas Cowboys.

With the Eagles and Cowboys poised for a winner-take-all regular season finale in the NFC East next week, Iverson recently took to Twitter to unequivocally pronounce where his allegiance lies.

"Hope my Cowboys win this weekend; we need it bad," Iverson tweeted less than 72-hours before the Boys rallied in heroic fashion to knock off the rival Washington Redskins to set up next week's battle. The Eagles were slated to face the Bears later that night, but no matter the outcome the division victor hinges on next week 16's showdown.

Embattled quarterback Tony Romo threw a 10-yard scoring strike to DeMarco Murray with just over a minute remaining to rally the Cowboys to a 24-23 win over Washington on Sunday. Romo's unlikely heroics came after he completed a 17-yard completion Dez Bryant to set up a first-and-goal.

Picked off twice late in the game during the Cowboys meltdown loss to Green Bay the week before, Romo again made matters interesting by throwing a pick late in the game when the Cowboys appeared to be mounting an earlier comeback.

But just a few minutes later on the fourth play of a critical drive, Romo completed a 51-yard pass to Terrance Williams that set the table for the Cowboys' (8-7) winning drive.

Overall, Romo completed 17 of 27 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns and Murray ran for 96 yards to become the first Cowboys rusher to amass 1,000 yards in a season since Julius Jones in 2006.

Somewhere, Allen Iverson is smiling.
