Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was visibly frustrated Wednesday in a press conference after the burglary of his Ohio home Monday night while he was in Texas playing the Cowboys.

The burglary happened Monday night. The suspects targeted a bedroom in the Cincinnati area mansion and then ransacked it. The situation was first reported by Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Olivia Ponton, who called authorities to report the crime.

As TMZ Sports reports, Burrow did not waste time expressing his frustration with reporters, saying that public exposure of personal matters is one of the most painful things that come with being a star of the league.

"I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one, and way more is already out there than I would want out there and that I care to share."

Life in the Limelight

"That has been difficult for me to deal with my entire career," Burrow said, "still learning, but I understand it's the life that we choose doesn't make it any easier to deal with."

The quarterback avoided saying much more about the burglary. While reporters continued to press him for more information, he curtly replied, "I've said everything I want to say about it."

A Growing Problem with NFL Burglaries

Burrow is not the only victim. Other homes belonging to NFL stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes were recently burglarized, and the league had to warn players to step up security at their homes.

Players have raised concerns about this trend targeting famous athletes. Many of them are concerned about falling prey to such acts. The NFL has issued warnings to the players and their families.

Enhanced Security Measures

The NFL players have been said to invest in more developed security systems and enhanced security measures as a result of the break-ins. Similarly, Burrow, along with other players, must fortify their safety measures over the property if any future occurrence is to be averted.
