Unlike LeBron James, his father, Bronny, appears to be on a harder road. He's the subject of previous criticisms; the most common is from Charles Barkley who says that he should be in the G-League right now—which came true.

Still, he was the most talked about young basketball player. Among his colleagues, however, he attracts respect and admiration. New rookie Laker Armel Traore recently spoke highly of his Bronny, praising the impacts and positive changes he is ushering on and off the game.

A Shared Rookie Journey

In an exclusive interview with TMZ Sports at LAX, the 21-year-old French player opened up about his experiences alongside Bronny. For Traore, the journey has been nothing short of "amazing."

"He's my guy," he said. "And I like everyone on the team, we're a family."

Both players are adjusting to life as new Lakers. While neither has settled into permanent homes yet, Traore described the transition as exciting and rewarding.

"I'm blessed to be here," Traore said. "Just wanna keep going, it's just the start. Every time I get my chance in the big gym, I'm showing my stuff, and in the G League, play my game."

Traore's determination comes in his performance. With South Bay Lakers, the L.A. Lakers' G-League affiliate, he has averaged a huge 16.8 points, 10.6 rebounds, and an assist per game—proof that he has huge potential and a work ethic.

While Bronny is still finding his rhythm, his presence is already making an impact. G League games have seen a noticeable surge in attendance, thanks to Bronny's star power. Traore emphasized how this enthusiasm benefits the team and adds energy to their games. What more if he would change his mindset?

"It's great to see the support he brings to the court," Traore said, reflecting on the packed crowds.

Bronny and Traore Still Have a Long Way Ahead

The road is long and arduous for Traore and Bronny. While both players are learning to face the challenges of rookie life, they're building their skills and fostering camaraderie that could shape their careers.

Traore's words especially point to the respect Bronny is building among teammates, proving that once the spotlight is turned off, Bronny's work ethic and presence are making waves within the Lakers organization.

Speaking of the Lakers, the team bowed down to the Oklahoma City Thunder on their last outing. Although it's a close game, LeBron and his team couldn't pull off a much-needed win to improve their 11-8 record.

The defensive end struggled for the Lakers as Anthony Davis was the only consistent member of the crew that night after his 15-point and 12-rebound performance against OKC.

Fans hope to see Bronny in action, but unfortunately, he did not enter the court.
