WNBA rookie Angel Reese recently took to social media to talk about reactions from fans to her off-season activities. Fans have been questioning whether or not she takes the game seriously since they found her out quite a few times and is doing other things besides basketball.

She needs a recovery period from a wrist surgery; it builds on more than just physical training as part of this off-season.

A fan on social media circulated a photo of Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown performing a tough underwater workout, holding a basketball in one hand and a 40-pound dumbbell in the other. According to Athlon Sports, the post jokingly suggests that some fans expect Reese to go through similarly extreme offseason training regimens.

This lighthearted jab at Reese's off-season playing time started a debate among fans. Some, it seemed, could find the humor behind the idea, and others took this chance to voice their concerns over her being genuinely focused on the game during the off-season season.

Angel Reese Busy Off Season: Events, Podcast, And Controversy

Before the season, Reese was not idle. The WNBA athlete is spotted visiting major city centers to catch games such as Chicago Bears and Baltimore Ravens. She is also hard at work on her podcast, "Unapologetically Angel", talking about life, basketball, and everything else.

Her numerous off-court appearances and activities outside of basketball have disappointed some fans, who wonder what her priorities are in the offseason. The comments came fast on social media, with declarations such as: "Angel Reese has no plans on doing the Mikan drill this offseason" and "Layup drills please!"

Others said, "I mean, you put EVERYTHING else on camera," implying that Reese hasn't put enough basketball-related activities on camera.

Some fans were even curious about how much time she spent online, with one remarking, "Angel, do you ever get off Twitter?"

Reese's Offseason Priorities Look More Serious Than Podbling

Of course, there's been plenty said and done online about Reese, but her offseason priorities look much more serious than podcasting. She is currently rehabbing following wrist surgery that cut short her rookie season.

Reese made waves in her first season with the Chicago Sky, averaging 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game. She was the only rookie to average a double-double and led the league in rebounds. Though her season was truncated by injury, her play was good enough to warrant an invitation to join the WNBA All-Star team. She also finished second in Rookie of the Year voting behind Indiana Fever's Caitlin Clark.

Promise of Career on the Road to Recovery

Reese is still 22 but has been a force in the WNBA. And while many fans criticize her for focusing too much on the offseason, her rookie season speaks for her dedication to the game.

Aside from fans, Reese also lambasted the media amid racist remarks directed at WNBA players, HuffPost writes.
