The Bloodline Shocks WWE Universe With Thrilling Tag Team Championship Defense in Brutal Ladder Match

The Bloodline keeps on holding the record as they won the WWE Tag Team Championships by playing a gripping triple threat ladder match on this Friday Night SmackDown. Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa emerged victorious over The Street Profits and #DIY in Nashville, Tennessee, for an overall thrill-packed wrestling thriller for supremacy over the top team in the WWE.

The action was a collection of high-flying and brutal as it spilled all over the ringside area and beyond, with several ladder spots being nothing short of violent.

According to CBS Sports, the match featured quite a few jaw-droppers, particularly Montez Ford of The Street Profits, who is built as a high-flyer. His aerial action was repaid with nasty counterattacks from the Bloodline, and Loa even suplexed Angelo Dawkins completely out of the ring.

A moment did stand out when Dawkins leaped over the top rope, sending both Loa and Tonga crashing onto the floor between two ladders. Then of course, the entire chaos worsened when #DIY, meaning Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, performed one of their signature "Meet in the Middle" moves, using a ladder as a devastating weapon on Loa.

The match enters a critical phase when Ford narrowly evades disaster by misjudging a Blockbuster to Ciampa, barely completing a rotation from the top of a ladder.

The carnage continues as Ford hits a beautiful frog splash on Loa through a table, and Dawkins, Ciampa, and Gargano powerbombed Tonga through the announcer's table in a collective destruction act.

With two minutes left in the match, DIY and The Street Profits competed for the top of the ladder when the Bloodline returned brutally. Tonga sent Dawkins and Ciampa crashing through another ladder in the corner. Loa tips Gargano and Ford off another ladder snatches the belts and closes the match.

The Bloodline's Unstoppable Momentum

The Bloodline succeeded and retained the revamped WWE Tag Team Championships in 2016, as their edition was first introduced with Heath Slater and Rhyno as their first winners in 2016. During WrestleMania XL, the newly revamped titles were first seen, and they were awarded to A-Town Down Under after a crazy Six Pack Ladder Match.

As The Bloodline ventures into WWE Bad Blood, it keeps on dominating. Tomorrow night, Oct.5, Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu will take on Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes in a long-hyped match. Peacock is available at 6 PM EST/3 PM PST to stream it live.
