A new announcement unveiled that WWE NXT is entering a new era. After the hot take on WWE SummerSlam 2025, we are yet to see another big move from the biggest pro wrestling association.
This move spearheaded by DX brothers Shawn Michaels and Triple H, marked as game-breaking step forward for the NXT brand.
And these new changes were presented within a stirring event that captured all the eyes globally.
New WWE NXT Era Kicks Off with a Bang
This past Tuesday, WWE NXT launched a new era as it moved to a brand-new broadcasting network - The CW Network.
A live show from Chicago, this edition of NXT was action-packed as it saw high-profile championship matches were a part of the fighting titles handed out by the top contenders in the men's and women's divisions in an all-important battle for supremacy.
Championship Belts Get a Fresh Look
One of the night's highlights was the presentation of the brand-new championship belts for men and women. Thanks to WWE legends Shawn Michaels and Triple H, the new revamped designs of the championship pieces have represented a new start to the brand. The new refreshed championship belts had a modern sleek design. They reflect the bold direction in which NXT has gone.
And, on top of that, the brand unveiled its new NXT logo, which was adorned by a black-and-silver chromatic scheme giving it a more classy and powerful look in branding's visual identity.
Championship Matches High-Stakes
The night's match card, being the edge-of-your-seat affair it was. The women's championship match saw incumbent champion Roxanne Perez pitted against the giant slayer Giulia.
In the men's division, a crowd-pleaser sees Ethan Page square off with Trick Williams. But just to spice things up a bit, CM Punk acts as guest referee; at least this way, you know there's at least a minimum amount of action.
Needless to say, both of the title matches did not disappoint, showcasing NXT's best and what could be in store for the CW Network's future events.
NXT and The CW Network
This is indeed another great development in NXT's journey into The CW Network, which comes just weeks after WWE's SmackDown transition from Fox to USA Network.
According to Bleacher Report, this indeed turns out to become a network change that will allow the brand exposure to different markets and various exposures of different demographics, hence practically, growing NXT and bringing it further to other audiences.
This network shuffling is part of a bigger WWE strategy as RAW would also be making a transition in January, this time off the USA Network and into Netflix. These new developments set the wave for future WWE broadcasting that will reach more people through the company's most in-demand shows.
