This edition of WWE Raw was weeks in preparation for the main event. The "Last Monster Standing" match saw Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed enter the ring, with each man feeling they would unleash their brutal dominance upon the other man. With this build, fans were satiated and ready for carnage, which this match provided in abundance.

They did not wait for a cue from the starting bell to light a fire in their mat showdown; instead, they began knocking out tables and barriers immediately after the bell rang, pounding each other in the street fight tossed between them. True chaos ensued when Reed gave Strowman a massive superplex, according to Inside Ropes. The whole ring came crashing down upon him, sending both men struggling to their feet.

Rollins Returns in Shocking Fashion and Interception

With these two monsters lying in the destruction of the collapsed ring, Seth Rollins ran down to the ring, climbed up, and crawled down the ring, hitting Reed with a tremendous stomp, pinning him to the metal steps. This interference gave Strowman just enough time to get to his feet before the 10-count by the referee, securing the win for this grueling affair.

It flared up when Rollins finally got his revenge on Reed, who did injure him on the August 5th RAW episode. Reed had attacked him with six Tsunamis and had taken him out of action for weeks, but clearly, only now it became apparent that Rollins hadn't forgotten.

The Story Behind Rollins' Absence

The vicious assault on Rollins in August at the hands of Reed was only part of a much larger storyline, as the entire scenario saw the destructive force of Bronson Reed take center stage.

With multiple Tsunamis raining down on Rollins's head, Reed went on a rampage that included confrontations with Braun Strowma, Daily Mail reports. Real-life injuries didn't help Rollins, who was written off television to allow recovery, but his return on September 30 could not have been more melodramatic.

Ring Collapse Shocks WWE Fans

The shot to take was two massive superstars crashing down to a ring structure. After Reed's superplex, the entire thing was in shreds as both men crashed down to the ground. It's such moments that give proof of the sheer force that WWE's biggest stars experience, and this match was no different between Strowman and Reed.

Just when it seemed that Reed was getting back on track, Rollins' timely arrival and vicious stomp shifted the momentum in his favor. Strowman, who hadn't stood up before the count of 10, was declared the winner in a bout going down in WWE lore as one of the most chaotic battles in recent history.
