Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was arrested allegedly for driving under the influence last Friday, July 12, near the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

The California Highway Patrol confirmed the incident on Sunday night, July 14.

A West Los Angeles officer spotted a white Rolls Royce blocking a lane of I-105 westbound to Sepulveda Boulevard northbound, where the driver, later identified as Addison, was found asleep behind the wheel.

A DUI investigation led to the 22-year-old's arrest on Friday at 11:36 PM PT, but he was released from custody shortly on Saturday at 1:36 AM.

Addison is set to enter his second season in the NFL after a solid rookie year. He was the Vikings' 23rd overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, recording 70 catches for 911 yards and scoring 10 touchdowns in 17 regular season games.

Addison criticized for DUI incident after teammate Khyree Jackson recently passed away

Addison has received criticism for his DUI arrest, coming just over a week after his teammate, incoming rookie Khyree Jackson, was killed in a road collision potentially involving a drunk driver.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, but the suspected drunk driver was traveling at a "high rate of speed," which caused the crash in the early hours of Saturday, July 6.

The 24-year-old Jackson was selected by the Vikings in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft with the 108th overall pick.
