A recent photo of Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott has sparked worry and fear among the team's fan base.

The 30-year-old signal caller was photographed on vacation just before the July 4th celebrations in the Cabo San Lucas vacation destination in Mexico.

While walking along the parked boats, he was spotted wearing a walking boot on his right leg, sparking rumors of an injury.

The Cowboys have not reported any injury for the three-time Pro Bowl selection in the past few weeks.

This development comes amid Prescott's contract negotiations, in which he reportedly seeks a deal worth $60 million per season.

The 2022 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year recipient will enter the final year of his four-year, $160 million contract in the upcoming 2024 season. His base salary is $29 million.

Reason for Dak Prescott's walking boot revealed

Prescott had been seen in a walking boot due to a minor foot sprain for several days, according to league insider Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

However, the injury is deemed non-serious and is not expected to impact his preparations for the upcoming campaign.

It is unclear when or how Prescott sustained the injury, but ESPN's Todd Archer also confirmed that Prescott has since discontinued using the walking boot.
