The Los Angeles Clippers might have found a gem in the NBA free agency 2024 or a considerable headache, depending on how he will try to keep himself in check.
Kevin Porter Jr has reportedly agreed to a two-year deal with the Clippers after a successful stint overseas.
He left the NBA in 2024 after getting involved in a domestic assault case while still part of the Houston Rockets. He was arrested and charged in September 2023 by the New York police for assaulting ex-girlfriend and WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick.

He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of reckless assault and a second-degree harassment violation by January 2024.
Before that, he faced a felony gun charge after getting caught with a firearm in his car. He was never indicted for this incident that took place in 2020, as the juries ruled that both the vehicle and the gun belonged to his mother.
Porter last played for the PAOK Thessaloniki in Greece, where he averaged 22 points, 9.8 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 2.8 steals per game.
What about his domestic assault case?
Porter, the 30th pick overall of 2020, is undoubtedly a talented guard. He had a breakout year in his last year with the Rockets when he averaged All-Star numbers by putting up 19-5-5 per game.
However, his off-court actions can derail his career.
Charania said Porter is now working in a program that could get his criminal record erased.
"Porter previously reached a plea agreement of a third-degree reckless assault misdemeanor in January. He is in the process of completing a court-ordered program, and once completed his plea will move to not-guilty with no criminal record."
If ever, Porter could slide in as a starter for the Clippers alongside James Harden.
It is yet to be known if Westbrook will stay while Bones Hyland remains their backup.
