The Dallas Mavericks came up short in Game 2 of the 2024 NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics, losing 105-98 on Sunday, June 9, at the TD Garden in Boston and falling into a 0-2 series hole.

Mavericks star Luka Doncic was not happy with two facets of his game, which he believed were the main reasons why Dallas is still winless in the championship round.

"I think my turnovers and my missed free throws cost us the game. I've got to do way better in those two categories," the 25-year-old told reporters during the post-game press conference.

Doncic committed eight costly turnovers, accounting for more than half of the team's 15 in the game.

The five-time All-NBA First Team member also shot 4-of-8 from the free throw line, contributing to the team's 16-of-24 (66.7 percent) performance from the charity stripe, compared to the Celtics' outstanding 19-of-20 (95 percent) shooting from the line.

The five-time NBA All-Star also scored his points efficiently, shooting 12-of-21 from the field and 4-of-9 from three-point range.

The two teams will head to Dallas for Game 3, scheduled on Wednesday, June 12th at the American Airlines Center.
