The Dallas Mavericks have secured a trip to the 2024 NBA Finals after eliminating the Minnesota Timberwolves in five games in their Western Conference Finals series, prompting the team to celebrate.
The team needed star Luka Doncic in top form for the championship round against the top-seeded Boston Celtics, so a Mavericks executive took it upon himself to ensure this.
Doncic was sharing a moment with his father, Sasa, when team vice president of basketball operations, Michael Finley, subtly removed from the player's hands a can of beer that he was drinking.
The Slovenian guard seemed amused by the move, grinning slightly before accepting his fate.
