Philadelphia Eagles icon Jason Kelce revealed his thoughts about the team's playbooks he received during his playing career.

Speaking to his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, on their New Heights podcast, the 36-year-old shared a story from his rookie season.

"My first year was 2011, the year of the lockout. I didn't get a playbook until training camp started. So I went in completely not knowing what was happening. It's amazing how fast you can learn this stuff," the seven-time Pro Bowl selection initially said.

The six-time First Team All-Pro selection eventually disclosed that he hadn't accessed the team playbook for several years. He argued that the playbook's content was mostly redundant.

"By the time we went to iPads, I never looked at the playbook one time. When's the last time you actually looked? I've not looked at a playbook in years," the former center added.

In contrast, the Chiefs tight end showed greater acceptance of the playbook, as their head coach, Andy Reid, mandated occasional reviews.

Jason Kelce and wife receive dinner treat from mayor

After a video surfaced of a woman verbally harassing Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie over the weekend when they refused to take pictures with her, citing it was their date night, they received a treat.

Michael Collins, mayor of Margate City in New Jersey, where the viral incident occurred, apologized to the NFL legend and offered another date night on him.

"As a father with young children, I know as well as anyone the importance of a date night with your wife and would like to offer a redo date night with dinner on me," his statement read.
