San Antonio Spurs rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama's first purchase using his multimillion-dollar NBA paycheck may not be the typical luxury products you'd expect.

The 20-year-old opted to spend his first paycheck on a hobby of his instead of a mansion, luxury car, or designer clothing.

Wembanyama's first purchase was the Millennium Falcon LEGO set, specifically listed as item No. 75192, which retails for $850 on the LEGO website.

While this item is indeed pricey for a toy, it remains relatively humble compared to the significant luxury purchases that young pro athletes typically splurge on initially.

Wembanyama is on a four-year, $55.1 million rookie contract with the Spurs and earned $12.2 million during his rookie season, according to figures from Spotrac.

Victor Wembanyama's ranking of Star Wars movies

The Frenchman has also disclosed that he is a big fan of the Star Wars franchise, and he has an unusual ranking of the movies.

Wembanyama listed Revenge of the Sith as his favorite Star Wars film, followed by Attack of the Clones and The Empire Strikes Back.

His top two films are from the prequel trilogy, which spanned from 1999 to 2005, a selection that many critics believe lags behind the more iconic and popular original trilogy, which ran from 1977 to 1983.

The Spurs center excluded the more recent Star Wars sequel trilogy, which ran from 2015 to 2019, from his rankings.
