Sparks: Paul George Bestows New Nickname For Rookie Cameron Brink

Los Angeles Sparks rookie Cameron Brink is one of the most anticipated players to watch in the WNBA amid the league's exploding popularity.

The 22-year-old forward is set to appear on the next episode of the popular Podcast P with Paul George, hosted by the Los Angeles Clippers star alongside co-hosts Jackie Long and Dallas Rutherford.

During a teaser for the episode posted on Sunday, May 19th, George proudly coined a new nickname for the 6-foot-4 player.

"This guest is the biggest, newest star in LA now. 'Killa' Cam' Cameron Brink! Welcome to the show, appreciate you," the nine-time NBA All-Star said as he introduced the Sparks star.

The episode is set to released on Monday, May 20th on major streaming platforms.

Brink was selected with the second overall pick by the Sparks in the 2024 WNBA Draft after a highly successful college career at Stanford, where she won the NCAA national title in 2021 and the Lisa Leslie Award in 2024.

Cameron Brink's tough outing vs Las Vegas Aces

After a decent debut game in the WNBA against the Atlanta Dream, Brink struggled against the defending WNBA champions Las Vegas Aces in her second professional game last Saturday, May 18th.

The former Stanford standout only had 3 points on 1-of-7 shooting, but she made up for it by grabbing eight boards, one steal, and an impressive five blocks in Las Vegas.

In contrast, Brink had 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting, adding two rebounds, four assists, and two blocks in her debut game against the Dream last May 15th.
