Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese was featured in the latest NBA Finals commercial, and it seemed to take shots at her rival, Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark.
Reese, alongside her Sky teammate and former South Carolina standout Kamilla Cardoso, briefly appeared in the advertisement, which starred Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade.
The nearly two-minute ad focused on winning championships. Reese and Cardoso symbolically placed imaginary crowns over their heads at the Great Gatsby-themed party, declaring "champs only."
The two players notably won the last two NCAA championships, hence their inclusion in the ad.
Reese won the NCAA championship with the LSU Tigers in 2023, while Cardoso did the same with the South Carolina Gamecocks in 2024, both defeating Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes in the title game.
Angel Reese puts salt in wound with post
Reese doubled down on what she said in the ad, reposting the video with her caption,
"CHAMPS ONLY! [smirking emoji]," the 22-year-old posted on X, formerly Twitter.
The Chicago Sky are currently 1-1 in the ongoing 2024 WNBA season. They split their two-game slate against the Dallas Wings, losing the first and winning the second. Both games were held on the road at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas, on May 15 and 18.
