The Dallas Mavericks won Game 5 of their Western Conference Semifinals series against the Oklahoma City Thunder 104-92 on Wednesday, May 15, at the Paycom Center to take a 3-2 series lead.

Mavericks star Luka Doncic inflicted significant damage in front of the Oklahoma City crowd. During the post-game press conference, he was asked if he relished making the Thunder fanbase go silent inside their building.

"I love it. And when they chant, 'Luka sucks,' it gets me going," the five-time NBA All-Star said.

The Thunder boast one of the most passionate fanbases in the league, and the crowd is witnessing their team in the playoffs for the first time since 2019.

While the team last made the NBA Playoffs in 2020, the year's postseason games were held in the NBA bubble at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Luka Doncic drops triple-double in pivotal win vs Thunder

The 25-year-old bounced back from a poor shooting effort in Game 4, dropping 31 points on 12-of-22 shooting from the field in Game 5.

Doncic completed a triple-double by adding ten rebounds and 11 assists, along with a block, in 41 minutes of action for the evening.

The Slovenian guard has been playing through several injuries in this year's playoff campaign, including a right knee sprain, left knee soreness, back soreness, and left Achilles soreness.
