Indiana Fever rookie sensation Caitlin Clark finally made her much-awaited WNBA debut against the Connecticut Sun in a road game held on Tuesday, May 14, at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Montville, Connecticut.
However, it wasn't the fairy-tale start to the career of the NCAA's all-time leading scorer that everyone had hoped for, as the Fever suffered a 92-71 loss for the evening.
The 22-year-old point guard led her team in scoring, dropping 20 points, but she did so inefficiently by shooting 5-of-15 from the field and 4-of-11 from three-point range.
Clark also added two steals for the evening, but the most concerning part of her game was the ten turnovers she committed.

The former Iowa Hawkeyes star scored her first points in the WNBA on a fastbreak layup with over five minutes remaining in the second quarter.
Caitlin Clark sets two major records in her WNBA debut
As usual with her college days, Clark has set two major WNBA records in her debut, but one is undesirable.
Her four three-pointers tied the record for the most threes made in a WNBA debut, sharing the record held by eight players, which includes her favorite player growing up, Maya Moore.
However, her ten turnovers also mark the most in WNBA history by a player in their first WNBA game.
