The Los Angeles Chargers are making additional moves as the Jim Harbaugh era kicks off ahead of the 2024 NFL season.

The Chargers have signed wide receiver D.J. Chark to add formidable weapons around star quarterback Justin Herbert.

The 27-year-old will be signing a one-year deal which could be worth up to $5 million, according to league insider Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Chark spent the 2023 NFL season with the Carolina Panthers, appearing in 15 games and making 11 starts.

During his time in Charlotte, he amassed 35 catches on 66 targets, accumulating 525 receiving yards (the second-most on the team) and scoring five touchdowns.

Chark also played 11 games for the Detroit Lions during the 2022 NFL season.

D.J. Chark has previously made the Pro Bowl game

Chark spent the majority of his career with the team that drafted him, the Jacksonville Jaguars, from 2018 to 2021. The Jaguars selected him in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft with the 61st overall pick.

The former LSU Tigers player had his best season in 2019, earning his first and only Pro Bowl appearance thus far.

During that campaign, the wideout recorded 73 catches for 1,008 yards and scored eight touchdowns in 15 games.

Injuries have presented a significant setback for Chark since joining the NFL, as he has yet to play in a full slate of games in a season. However, when healthy, he has shown the potential to be a reliable contributor.
