The Buffalo Bills continue to make moves following the recently concluded 2024 NFL Draft.
The team is set to enhance their linebacker corps by adding former Pro Bowl selection Deion Jones.
The 29-year-old will reportedly sign a one-year deal, according to league insider Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Jones spent the 2023 season with the Carolina Panthers, recording 22 solo tackles, 13 assists, 1.0 sack, and one interception in 13 games.
The former LSU player is best known for his first six NFL seasons, from 2016 to 2022, with the Atlanta Falcons.
He was subsequently traded to the Cleveland Browns during his seventh season with the team, where he appeared in 11 games for the rest of 2022.
Jones brings several years of experience as a starter, a history of impactful plays, and expertise in diverse defensive schemes, all of which position the Bills to make significant strides in 2024.
Deion Jones made the Pro Bowl game in 2017
Jones was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the second round of the 2016 NFL draft with the 52nd overall pick.
He quickly made an impact, securing a third-place finish in the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year voting during an outstanding debut campaign in 2016.
Jones' standout performance continued into the following season, earning him his first and only Pro Bowl selection in 2017.
That year, he tallied 91 solo tackles, 47 assists, 1.0 sack, and three interceptions in 16 games.
