NBA players love having a style like tattoos.

NBA fans love blowing things out of proportion and stretching simple things.

LaMelo Ball is the latest subject of exaggerated speculations after showing off his new back tattoo.

The massive tattoo features an alien. This prompted fans to connect it to super rookie Victor Wembanyama.

Wemby is regarded as a unicorn. He is a generational player who recently released his signature shoe line with Nike, which has an alien theme.

It's a stretch to attach his tattoo to another player he probably does not know personally, but these are NBA fans.

It might also be illegal for Ball to pay tribute to a potentially new teammate who is endorsing a shoe line using an alien concept since the Charlotte Hornets point guard is also endorsing PUMA.

LaMelo Ball's contract and future

Ball had an uneventful 2023-2024 season, spending most of the time in the injured bay due to a series of injuries.

He only played 22 games and posted 23.9 points per game, the highest he's recorded since his rookie year.

It is hard to imagine how he and Wemby will end up together.

Ball is the Hornets' superstar and just signed a max contract at the start of last season.

There is also no way the San Antonio Spurs will let Wemby go to another franchise after a strong rookie season.

Unless another team makes an offer that either the Spurs or the Hornets can't refuse, then the Ball and Wemby tandem will not happen.

The fans can't be faulted for imagining such a scenario, given how their skills complement each other.
