Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards unquestionably ranks among the NBA's most promising young players and displays strong confidence in his upward trajectory.
The 2020 first-overall draft pick appeared on ESPN's NBA Today alongside host Malika Andrews and free agent Austin Rivers.
During the show, Andrews inquired about the percentage of his potential he has reached compared to how far he could go.
"I'm probably at like 40 percent right now. I'm just in Year 4. People forget that I'm 22, I'm not even touching my prime yet. Still trying to figure out my spots, where I like to go, and what size of court I'd like to be on. I still haven't figured that one yet," the 22-year-old said.
Rivers said he believed that Edwards would become the best player in the league within the next two to three years, to which Edwards enthusiastically agreed, fully embracing the prediction.
Edwards certainly has a lot of competition for the title, with stars like Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic and Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic currently regarded among the best players in the world today.
