Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson addressed some challenging topics during their season exit interviews on Wednesday, April 17.

The initial questions centered around his impending free agency in the summer, to which the 34-year-old responded with sarcasm.

"We don't want to talk about the season first? You want to talk about the future? There were a lot of games played, man. That was a pretty big accomplishment," the sharpshooter bluntly replied.

Thompson and the Warriors were unable to agree to an extension during the season, primarily due to disparities in their salary expectations.

"Well, considering it's April 17, I don't have to pivot that quickly. When's free agency? July 1? I got some time," the four-time NBA champion stated regarding his plans.

Thompson reportedly turned down a two-year contract offer worth $48 million from the Warriors last summer.

Thompson faced a challenging evening on Tuesday, April 16, during the Warriors' season-ending play-in tournament loss to the Sacramento Kings.

The two-time All-NBA Third Team member went scoreless despite logging 32 minutes of game time, struggling from the field by shooting 0-of-10 overall and 0-of-6 from three-point range.

"I think last night was just a bad shooting night... Just thought I had an off night from the office," the five-time NBA All-Star said about his performance.
