The Boston Celtics are entering the 2024 NBA Playoffs with home-court advantage secured throughout.
The Beantown franchise achieved their 60th win of the season in a dominant performance against the Oklahoma City Thunder at home, closing with a commanding final score of 135-130 on Wednesday, April 3 at the TD Garden.
Additionally, the team clinched the best record in the league for the first time since the 2007-08 season, which marked their last NBA Championship victory.
"We may never be in this position again, so don't take that for granted ... It's just a testament to the guys. We should enjoy it tonight, wake up tomorrow, then nobody cares. Get back to work," Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla said about the feat.
The Celtics extended their impressive NBA record of 60-win seasons to 14, solidifying their dominance in this regard.

Their bitter rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers, trail behind with 11 60-win seasons, while the San Antonio Spurs have seven.
Celtics set NBA record in highly-dominant season
Throughout the 2023-24 regular season, the Celtics have asserted their dominance, leading the Eastern Conference with an impressive 60-16 record.
Notably, the C's achieved their 16th victory by a margin of 25 points or more, establishing a new all-time record in this category.
Previously, the Milwaukee Bucks (1970-71, 1971-72) and the San Antonio Spurs (2015-16) had each achieved 15 such wins.
