Caitlin Clark proves night in and night out that she is one of the most exciting players these days.
The NBA is taking notice and the possibility of her playing in the next NBA All-Star Game is becoming clearer.
The world's top professional basketball league recently invited Sabrina Ionescu for a one-on-one showdown with Golden State Warriors star and all time 3 point leader Stephen Curry.
NBA insider Shams Charania suggested that the league is looking to add Clark in the line-up in All-Star Weekend 2025 which will be held in the Bay Area.
"At this point, Stephen Curry vs. Sabrina Ionescu is very likely for next year," he said during an appearance at the FanDuel TV.

Caitlin Clark vs. Klay Thompson
"And next year's All-Star Weekend is in the Bay Area, in San Francisco, at Chase Center in 2025. And I'm told, with Caitlin Clark and potentially Klay Thompson, to make it 2 v. 2. I'm told Steph Curry has specifically brought up potentially having Klay Thompson in this competition for next year."
Klay Thompson appears to be the logical choice. For a long-time the Splash Brothers terrorized the league with their streak three-point shooting.
The fact that the All-Star weekend is happening in the Warriors' arena makes him a shoo-in, too.
Despite all these, there are other players who are probably more deserving than Klay Thompson.
Here are some players Adam Silver can look at. The main criteria, of course, are star power, relevance, and three-point shooting.
Caitlin Clark vs. Damian Lillard
The Milwaukee Bucks guard, who became an All-Star starter for the first time in his career this season, is the league's back-to-back 3-point king after ruling the competition's 2023 and 2024 edition.
This should make him an instant challenger against the Iowa State superstar.
He can light it up from beyond the arc and will surely provide Clark a challenge.
Lillard has a reputation of a deadly shooter who can end a team's season in one 3-point shot, be it from a pass or from the logo.
Caitlin Clark vs. Kyrie Irving
The Dallas Mavericks magician is known for his jelly lay-ups but one must remember that he used to rule the 3-point contest, too.
He won the competition in 2013 against the likes of Stephen Curry and Paul George.
Irving also has memorable moments from beyond the arc, most notably the game-winning shot that sent a world of hate to Warriors fans' hearts during the 2016 finals when he was still with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Caitlin Clark vs. Luka Doncic
"That's a woman Steph Curry. She can shoot it better than me," Doncic told reporters as he was reacting to the sensational night Clark had against LSU.
The Mavs star should try out his theory on the court and join Curry on the planned 2x2 for the 2025 All-Star Game.
Just like Clark, Doncic is arguably the most exciting offensive player in the NBA right now. To both of them, it is all about scoring.
Nothing's more exciting than that.
Caitlin Clark vs. Lebron James
It should be GOAT and GOAT against Ionescu and Clark.
The two girls carry unparalleled star power and so, it is just customary that Curry is paired with a player whose star glows the brightest.
Lebron James, with the attention he commands, could also help promote the WNBA with him participating in the event.
It will also be symbolic because it will feel like he and Curry are passing the torch to Ionescu and Clark.
