As we still decide on a proper name for the Visa Cash App RB F1 team, their driver Yuki Tsunoda has strung together a solid opening two races into the 2024 F1 season.
Minus Tsunoda's outbursts in the Bahrain opener, when asked to swap places with his fellow VCARB driver Daniel Ricciardo, Yuki got his temper a bit more under control considering the frustration that could've brewed in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
Final Point Eluded VCARB and Yuki Tsunoda
This frustration was conceived by the DRS train created by Haas' driver Kevin Magnussen. Drivers such as Tsunoda, Esteban Ocon, and Alexander Albon were all bunched up and stuck behind Magnussen in a strategy seeing Haas and Nico Hulkenberg steal the final points finish in P10.
Through this Yuki Tsunoda kept his cool and still was able to place the pace lacking VCARB 01 at P15. Tsunoda has so far outperformed his teammate Ricciardo in both races more or less, as Yuki qualified better on both tracks. It won't be long before Tsunoda wins some championship points, helping make him a more desirable driver in 2025 as seats will begin to open up for next season.
