Marvin Harrison Jr., widely acknowledged as the top wide receiver prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft and a consensus top-five pick, found himself in a humorous situation during the recent NFL Scouting Combine earlier this month.
Despite not participating in on-field drills or physical testing at the event, the 21-year-old engaged with representatives from nine different teams and underwent medical evaluations.
"[Harrison] actually did ask a couple teams if there's anything they'd need to see at his pro day in Columbus, Ohio, later this month. One I talked to laughed at the notion," according to a report from Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated.
Scouts already knew what Harrison Jr. could do, as he concluded his last season with the Ohio State Buckeyes amassing 67 receptions for 1,211 yards and securing 14 touchdowns. His stellar performances have earned him consideration for the prestigious Heisman Trophy.
The 2024 NFL Draft, which will last three days, is scheduled to take place from April 25 to 27 in the vicinity of Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza in Detroit, Michigan.
