The controversy surrounding Red Bull Racing team principal and CEO Christian Horner's "inappropriate behavior" has a new chapter, even though the energy drink company recently cleared him following an investigation by a third party.
The parent company of the Formula One team, Red Bull GmbH, issued a statement last Wednesday, February 28, declaring that "the grievance has been dismissed."
The statement further expressed the company's confidence that the investigation had been conducted fairly, rigorously, and impartially.
Despite the apparent resolution of the controversy, new developments have emerged as several alleged exchanges of text messages involving Horner and a woman were anonymously sent to Formula One bosses and various media outlets after Red Bull's verdict.
The woman involved in these alleged exchanges reportedly worked with Horner at Red Bull Racing's Milton Keynes, England headquarters.
The 50-year-old team boss' messages were sexually suggestive, including an instance where he suggested it would be good for the woman to "stretch her legs."
He also remarked that the woman looked "very attractive" in Spanx, a women's underwear brand. When she clarified that they were just leggings, Horner reportedly replied that what's inside them matters.
The woman, who has not been identified, is reportedly "very unhappy" with Red Bull's decision to clear Horner. She perceived the outcome as one-sided, feeling that she had been unfairly "crucified" in the process.

Geri Halliwell considers ending marriage with Christian Horner
In light of the leaked text messages, Geri Halliwell, Horner's wife, is reportedly thinking about ending their marriage, per The Daily Mail.
The publication added that Halliwell is fully aware that she is confronting one of the most significant decisions of her life. According to a friend, "she acts on impulse a lot," and "she has a temper on her."
Other insiders have reported that Halliwell, who had stood by her husband amid the entire saga, is now profoundly affected, undergoing what has been described as "the meltdown of all meltdowns," despite his reported assurances that there was "nothing" in the allegations.
According to other friends close to the singer, ending her marriage would deeply sadden Halliwell, as she views Horner as the "Prince Charming" she has dreamed of since childhood. The scandal has introduced uncertainty to the couple's marriage for the first time.
The couple has been married since May 2015 and is parents to a son named Montague, who was born in 2017. Additionally, Horner and Halliwell have a daughter from their respective previous relationships.
Halliwell gained worldwide fame during the 1990s as a member of the pop group the Spice Girls, where she was affectionately known as Ginger Spice.
