Lamar Jackson Contract: $260 million

Before the 2023 NFL season, Jackson and the Ravens agreed on a five-year contract extension valued at $260 million, including $185 million in guaranteed money.

The deal ended months of prolonged negotiations between the two parties, in which the signal caller represented himself without needing an agent.

At its signing, it stood as the richest contract in NFL history on a per-year basis. However, it was later slightly surpassed by fellow quarterbacks Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers and Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals. Despite this, Jackson's deal remains the fourth largest in NFL history.

Lamar Jackson Career Earnings

By the conclusion of the 2023 NFL season, it is anticipated that Jackson will have earned $112.7 million in NFL salary over his initial six seasons in the league, as reported by Spotrac.

This figure excludes additional earnings from off-field ventures such as endorsements and partnerships. Additionally, it does not factor in deductions for taxes, agent fees, and other business expenses.

Looking ahead to the remaining years of his substantial contract, Jackson is projected to accumulate $292.7 million in career earnings by the end of his contract after the 2027 NFL season, assuming he remains healthy and fulfills specific incentives.

Once his next contract is negotiated, Jackson would be either 30 or 31 years old, positioning him for another lucrative deal during the prime years of his career.

Lamar Jackson Salary 2023

Jackson is poised to receive an enormous $80 million in the ongoing 2023 NFL season, establishing him as the highest-paid player in the entire league this campaign, according to Front Office Sports.

With that amount, he is expected to make the next edition of business and financial magazine Forbes' list of the highest-paid athletes in the world.

A significant portion of this sum is attributed to a groundbreaking $72.5 million signing bonus granted to him by the Ravens, which is the most significant signing bonus in NFL history. His base salary for the season amounts to $7.5 million.

His total compensation is a steep increase from what he earned in 2022, which was $23 million, all in base salary.

For the 2024 season, the two-time First Team All-Pro selection will take home $32.5 million, comprising a $14.25 million base salary, $17.5 million option bonus and a $750,000 roster bonus.
