Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is one of the most important players of the Bay Area squad during their dynasty, in which they won four NBA championships in the past decade.

Playing primarily as a small-ball center during their title runs, Green is praised for being one of the league's top playmakers and defenders, excelling in stealing, shot-blocking, and overall defensive skills.

However, the 2017 NBA Defensive Player of the Year has received criticism for his on-court demeanor, deemed by some as unsportsmanlike and dirty, while his unpredictable behavior and antics also garnered unwanted attention.

The 33-year-old was selected by the Warriors in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft with the 35th overall pick after spending four seasons of college basketball with the Michigan State Spartans.

Let's have a peek at Draymond Green's contract and salary details.

Draymond Green's Contract: $100 million

During the past offseason, Green agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $100 million to remain with the Warriors in the opening hours of free agency. This extension features a player option for the final year and aligns with Stephen Curry's contract duration.

The recent agreement inked by the four-time NBA All-Star mirrors the one he signed in 2019, with identical terms in value, length, and the inclusion of a player option. Green chose to forego the player option in 2023 to enter into the new deal.

Before securing his two nine-figure contracts, Green was previously under a five-year deal valued at $82 million, signed in 2015. In that contract, he chose to take less money to enhance the roster flexibility of the Dubs.

The 2016-17 NBA steals leader's rookie scale contract was worth $2.6 million over three seasons, earning an average salary of $880,248 annually.

Draymond Green's Career Earnings

By the conclusion of the 2023-24 NBA season, Green is expected to have accumulated $177.8 million in career earnings exclusively from his NBA salary over his 12 seasons in the league, as per figures from Spotrac.

This sum does not factor in supplementary income from endorsements and excludes deductions for taxes, agent fees, and other business-related expenses.

With his current deal set to expire in the summer of 2027, Green is projected to amass an impressive $255.5 million in career earnings by that time.

At the expiration of his current contract, Green will be 36 years old, marking it as a potentially final lucrative deal before contemplating a transition into a discounted veteran role or even considering retirement.

Draymond Green Salary

Green is poised to earn $22,321,429 in the ongoing 2023-24 NBA season as part of his current deal's first year, as per HoopsHype figures.

Notably, the former Michigan State player is the fifth highest-paid player on the Warriors roster for this season.

Over the next three years, the four-time All-NBA Defensive First Team member will earn $24,107,143 next season, $25,892,857 for the 2025-26 season, and a player option worth $27,678,571 for the 2026-27 season.
