Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is regarded by many as the greatest basketball player of all time, and his path to attaining this status is marked by numerous records, some of which are deemed unbreakable owing to his extraordinary consistency in playing at a top-tier level for more than 20 years.
Here are five records of LeBron James that will likely never be broken:
1. Most consecutive games scored over 10 points.
James has scored in double digits in 1,157 regular season games in a row, and as of November 2023, he is the runaway leader in league history in this statistic. This remarkable streak remains unbroken.
His most recent instance of scoring below ten points in the regular season dates back to January 5, 2007, during his first tenure with the Cleveland Cavaliers. On that occasion, he secured 8 points on 3-of-13 shooting in a 95-86 victory against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Michael Jordan holds the second position for the most consecutive games with ten points or more, with 866 games, spanning from March 25, 1986 to December 26, 2001.
Aside from this, James also holds the NBA record for most consecutive games, scoring a point, doing so in all 1,427 regular season games of his career since 2003.
2. Most consecutive seasons averaging over 25 points per game.
James has consistently maintained an impressive average of over 25 points per game for 19 consecutive seasons, with his rookie year being the only exception. During that season, he achieved an average of 20.9 points per game.
He had a close call of having that streak snapped when he averaged exactly 25.0 points in 2020-21.
Last season, he averaged 28.9 points, the fifth-highest of his career.

Another testament to James' all-around threat is the sheer amount of points, rebounds, and assists he has accumulated.
James is the only player in NBA history to accomplish the remarkable feat of scoring 30,000 points, securing 10,000 rebounds, and delivering 10,000 assists.
4. Finals MVPs with three teams
James achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first player in NBA history to win the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player award with three different teams. He is also only the second player to win the award in two conferences.
His initial three awards were earned in the Eastern Conference with the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013 and the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016.
In 2020, he led the Los Angeles Lakers to their 17th NBA championship, claiming his first Finals MVP in the Western Conference.
5. NBA's all-time leading scorer
For over three decades, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's all-time scoring record of 38,387 points was widely considered by many to be unbreakable.
However, on February 7, 2023, James scored the 38,388th point of his career against the Oklahoma City Thunder with a fadeaway jumper from the left wing, breaking the record held by the former Lakers center for more than 38 years.
The Ohio native's journey to this milestone spanned 20 seasons of remarkable consistency. As he continues to perform at a high level, it is increasingly challenging for any future player to surpass his final tally when he hangs up his sneakers.
