Detroit Lions started the season as if they were invincible but stumbled in their last match after getting dominated by the Baltimore Ravens, 6-38.

The loss was unexpected for many as the Lions had defeated their opponents in their last three games, scoring double digits before facing the Ravens.

Coach Dan Campbell only has their complacency to blame for their recent defeat.

He suggested that the team went into the game feeling more confident than usual based on how they approached practice the day before the match.

For that, they paid dearly.

"I thought it was the right time to back off, but we probably needed a little more," he told reporters after the defeat.

"We should have gone out and done just a bit of full speed when we were getting ready to play a physical team."

The Lions felt the physicality as they never recovered from a 1-16 hole.

No time to panic yet for Campbell

The loss stung for Campbell and his boys, but he believes returning to the fundamentals can help big time.

He is also not worried about their season, with their 5-2 record still formidable. He said they will only start worrying if they suffer a second straight defeat.

"At the end of the day, we're 5-2 and where we are going to have a problem is if we back it up with another loss."

Lions will play the Las Vegas Raiders next in Week 8.
