New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson is unhappy about the artificial turf in his team's home ground, MetLife Stadium.
The 2022 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year blasted his playing venue after he appeared to have sustained a non-contact lower leg injury in the second quarter of their 20-14 upset win against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, October 15.
Wilson encountered a slip on a route, seemingly getting his foot caught in the MetLife Stadium artificial turf.
"It's garbage, man. You're out there running and all of a sudden your legs aren't in the same place your head is at," the 23-year-old said.
Despite the initial setback, Wilson assured that he was alright. He wrapped up the game with eight receptions, accumulating 90 yards in the team's victory.

MetLife Stadium is one of the worst stadiums in the league
Players often regard MetLife Stadium, the home ground for the New York Giants and New York Jets, as one of the worst places to play in the NFL.
Despite installing a new synthetic turf field during the offseason, players remain dissatisfied with the playing surface in the New Jersey venue.
While most players favor natural grass, stadium owners prioritize turf due to its compatibility with revenue-generating events such as concerts and other activities hosted at the stadium.
