Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson suffered another injury in their 23-16 victory against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, October 8, at the Lucas Oil Stadium.
The 21-year-old injured his shoulder when he was tackled following a four-yard run with 4:39 remaining in the second quarter.
Richardson's right shoulder bore the brunt of the impact when he fell to the ground, and his immediate reaction was to signal towards his shoulder while lying on the field. He was unable to move his arm.
With his latest health setback, the former Florida Gator has not been able to finish the game in three of his first four starts in the NFL.
Last month, Richardson took a hit to his right knee, leading head coach Shane Steichen to remove him from the game for the final few plays during their season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 10.
Meanwhile, Richardson suffered a concussion in the second quarter during their Week 2 game vs the Houston Texans, causing him to miss the remainder of that game and the subsequent week's matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
Colts' Anthony Richardson Injury Status
The injury is believed to be a sprained AC joint on his throwing shoulder, according to reporter Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
X-rays were negative, but the fourth overall pick of this year's NFL Draft will undergo an MRI to assess the extent of the sprain, which will determine the timeframe of his recovery.
