Dallas Mavericks big man Grant Williams singled out the best veteran player he's ever been teammates with throughout his NBA career.
The 24-year-old named four-time NBA All-Star Kemba Walker, whom he played with from 2019 to 2021 for the Boston Celtics, as his favorite veteran teammate during an interview with Emily Austin on The Hoop Chat.

"Kemba's one of the best vets, if not the best, I've had. He's a selfless guy. He'll always offer the shirt off of his back for you," the 6-foot-6 forward said.
Williams recently arrived in Dallas via a sign-and-trade agreement this summer, while Walker has taken his talents overseas to play for French LNB Pro A team AS Monaco after spending last season also with the Mavericks.

Grant Williams lived in Kemba Walker's house during COVID-19 pandemic
Their bond remains strong primarily because they shared a residence at Walker's home at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Concerned about the risk of infecting his grandparents in 2020, Williams chose to live with Walker at his Charlotte home, allowing them to spend quality time together while training for a possible resumption of the NBA season.
Williams is a Charlotte native, while Walker is originally from New York but spent eight seasons with the Hornets, hence having a home in that area.
