The Portland Trail Blazers continue to hold trade discussions involving their star, Damian Lillard, but it is not good news for the Miami Heat.

Trade discussions involving the NBA 75th Anniversary Team member have heated up, but an imminent trade isn't on the horizon yet, according to league insider Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The Blazers are actively engaging not only with teams interested in the 33-year-old but also with numerous teams looking to participate in more extensive trade scenarios.

Woj added that Portland is exploring other options, such as acquiring additional draft picks in exchange for taking on salary, and they're open to joining multi-team trades to address specific needs. The team is actively exploring all these avenues this week.

"[Portland] is certainly behaving like a team that wants to get a deal done, that is trying to get a deal done before training camp," the league insider said.

Portland not talking with the Miami Heat

Despite their recent trade talks that have intensified for the past couple of days, the Blazers have not talked to Lillard's preferred destination and biggest trade suitor, the Miami Heat.

"So far, the one element that has not been a part of these talks are the Miami Heat. But we know in trade talks and conversations, that could change in one moment with one call," Wojnarowski said.
