Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs broke his silence over the controversial remarks about him made by team reporter Maddy Glab during the team's media availability on Wednesday, September 13.
In a series of posts on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, Diggs described Glab's comments as "very hurtful" and insulting to his character and upbringing.
The 29-year-old made it clear that he greets everyone with a smile and respect, from the people in their cafe to those who keep the building clean and orderly.
The former Maryland player continued by noting that the media or fans may confuse his competitiveness that they witness on the field with who he is as a person.
Diggs added that the remarks are an example of why players do not want to deal with the media, lamenting that it's hard to fight people's preconceived notions about him.
"We get you all have a job. And I respect it, but please remember I'm a human just like you. And if I ever made you or anyone else feel like you can't approach me, I apologize," the Bills player concluded.
Maddy Glab's comments
The Bills reporter said that "there's no control over Stefon Diggs," and that the player will do what he wants.
"He'll look in my face and say 'F you,'...that's how he treats everybody," she added.
Glab quickly apologized to Diggs on Wednesday evening.
