Chicago Bears wide receiver Chase Claypool's status for their next game is uncertain, following a lackluster outing during their 38-20 Week 1 loss against the Green Bay Packers at home.
The 25-year-old could be listed as a healthy inactive for their Week 2 game, according to Bears head coach Matt Eberflus.
"We're looking at all possibilities right now. I'm not going to talk about who's going to be up or down for the game for obvious reasons," Eberflus said.
The Bears will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, September 17, at the Raymond James Stadium.
Claypool has been heavily criticized on social media for his apparent lack of effort during their last game, missing multiple assignments, and failing to block the perimeter. He also was unable to make a single catch throughout the game.

NFL Network host Kyle Brandt shared on social media platform X that a Bears player was not putting much effort during the game.
"There is a player on the Bears, and he's just sleep walking out there. We all see it. He plays offense. I'm not even gonna name him. If you're watching, you know," he said.
Most fans and analysts answered that he was referring to the former Pittsburgh Steelers pick.
With his performances, it isn't far-fetched to think that the former Notre Dame player could soon be clinging not just for his spot in the Bears roster but for a place in any NFL team.
